Cash White Design, is a professional residential design and construction company founded in March 2023. After more than 20 years of residential construction and real estate experience Cash White developed a in home design consultation model to help people improve their existing homes and enjoy their space in a very timely manner. Whether it be Flooring, Kitchen or Bathroom remodel, Landscape Improvements, or Outdoor Kitchens and Cabanas Cash White Design has a process to move things along efficiently and with outstanding quality.

Originally from Houston Texas, I was raised by a single mom and my grandmother until I was 13. We always lived in apartments, and I longed for a house with a backyard for my dogs. Finally, on my 10th birthday, we moved into our own house, and I became the “man of the house”. I had always dreamed of mowing the yard ( believe it or not ) and doing stuff for my mom, until we discovered pulling the weeds from her Daylily bed lol. In 1988, my best friend, John, and I found half pipe plans in a Thrasher skateboarding magazine. We decided to build one in my backyard. We got scraps from the local framers building houses, and my mom bought us the plywood. We borrowed tools from the neighbors, and two weeks later, not only every kid from the neighborhood, but every kid from the northwest side of Houston was at my house every afternoon. My Mee-Maw was not happy, and thus began my interest craftsmanship.
A couple of years later my Mom my met my stepdad (Gene), he was a master fabricator and craftsman. Gene had his own shop where he worked on big trucks, built trailers, and worked on heavy industrial equipment (I worked there until I was 19). He found a 1968 Chris Craft Commander and I helped him restore it to like new condition, build 2 shrimp boats a 45 and a 60 footer, and in 1996 I restored a 1968 Camaro. During my senior year in high school I met my future wife (Kim), and when she got accepted to the UT business school, I followed her up here to Austin. I took some design classes at ACC and started working in sales. Then, I got my real estate license and helped people buy and sell property but home design and construction was always in my heart. Soon I was working at Jim Walter build on your lot homes. There folks came in that had land or were buying land and wanted to build a semi custom home (usually in more rural areas). In 2006 I started working for investors designing and building custom spec homes and condo conversion projects.

Jean Baby
The 1968 Chris Craft Commander was named “Jean Baby” after Gene and because that was Mee-Maw’s nickname growing up. Her name was Jean Austin, we’re said to be kin to Stephen F. Austin
Cash & Kim
Kim and I met in the fall of 1994 ( my senior year in high school ) and moved to Austin together in 1996. We bought our house in Pflugerville in 2000 and still live there today. That’s the 1968 Camaro I wish I still owned, but I had to sell it in 1998 when gas prices became outrageous at $1.20 per gallon.
